A late arrival home Friday before birthday drinks at my brother and sister-in-law's house kept to me to 40 minutes of spinning on the wind-trainer + some weights etc (elected to stay off treadmill). Probably a good thing.
Yesterday's runs were an 800 + 3K. The 800 was slightly quicker than last fortnight, but I seem to be doing it all off memory, as I haven't done any discernible speedwork which will help no end. Either high 2.14's or low 2.15's, which is a second and a half minimum improvement from a fortnight ago. Not that fast, but improvement nonetheless.
The 3K felt even but the 'struggle shrug', where I seem to tense up when fatigued, appeared on the last lap. This aside, I'm happy with the result of 9.54, as it was good to get under 10 when I didn't think I was ready right now.
21K this morning - beautiful morning to run, but dealing with the sore calves may have created a new concern, that of the right leg. I was hobbling a bit afterwards and the massage I received was a significant help, but it's now watching out for the right shin to ensure that it doesn't reignite.
Ballpark kms for the week about 70-75. Triple figures hopefully by late December, but let's just allow things to take their course.

Not bad times Ads, it WILL happen, let time take control. Look after that calf and of course the massage would have helped, could the MT feel anything bad??
Might see you on Tuesday evening.
